Home Care FAQs

How do you ensure my loved one is safe?

Safety is at the centre of everything we do. All care is delivered in line with a personalised care plan and detailed risk assessments. Our carers are fully trained and supported by an experienced management team, and care delivery is regularly reviewed to ensure standards remain high.

Are carers fully checked before working in someone’s home?

Yes. Every member of staff undergoes a safer recruitment process including an enhanced DBS check, verified employment references and right to work checks. Carers are only permitted to work once all checks and training have been successfully completed.

Will the same carers visit each time?

We understand how important familiarity is. Wherever possible, we provide a small, consistent team of carers so trusting relationships can develop and clients feel comfortable and confident during visits.

What happens if my regular carer is unavailable?

If a regular carer is on leave or unwell, a trained member of the team who is familiar with the care plan will attend. Our office team carefully manages schedules to ensure continuity and minimise disruption.

What if care needs change over time?

Care needs can change, and we regularly review support to ensure it remains suitable. We work closely with clients and families to adjust visit times, support levels or care plans whenever required.

Do families receive updates?

Yes. We maintain open communication with families and can provide updates and feedback where appropriate. We encourage ongoing involvement so families feel reassured and informed.

What happens if a visit is running late?

We monitor visits closely and keep families informed if there are any unexpected delays. Our priority is ensuring every client receives their visit safely and without being rushed.

Do carers carry identification?

All carers carry identification and wear appropriate uniforms so clients can feel confident welcoming them into their home.

Can you help in an emergency or urgent situation?

If urgent support is needed, we will always do our best to arrange care quickly. In many situations we can begin services within 48 hours following an assessment.

How is medication support managed?

Carers receive medication training and follow clear procedures to ensure medication is administered safely and accurately in line with agreed care plans and professional guidance.

Can we stop or change care if needed?

Yes. Care is flexible and designed around your needs. If circumstances change, we will work with you to adjust or end services respectfully and with appropriate notice.

How do you maintain quality of care?

We carry out regular supervision, spot checks and care reviews to ensure high standards are maintained. Feedback from clients and families is welcomed and used to continually improve our service.
